You know... I know it's been 4 years since Yuko's departure but I just wanted to highlight here in the discussions that she will always be kept in our hearts and forever in the Ringu franchise, despite her participation being unique but very dear and remarkable because she plays the role of a character who unfolds the story of the novel for us. So I just came in peace to ask that she rest in peace (she is already resting well up there) and that everyone knows that our "tomoko oishi" will always be dear to us, in our hearts. She was so unique for the role of Tomoko that I consider the character to be her own. Thank you Yuko Takeuchi for being part of Ringu's journey and for existing to shine in the role of Tomoko Oishi. "rest in peace"
I made this very silly AU of Sadako where the only way to cure her anger is to give her squishmellow plushies and I made a bot for it (
here's the most goofiest ass chat I ever did i attempted to marry her and failed kind of)
Hey all! Fandom observed Women's History Month in March by embracing equity through the lens of women, femme-identifying and non-binary people building the “tables” in industries where they often do not have a seat. We've had various programming from a playlist (listen to it here if you haven't already!) to interviews for women gamers (see here).
With March being over, so did Women's History Month come to an end. That said though, I am going to take liberty to still advertise one last thing in April, as it involved the horror community!
On the final day of Women's History Month, Fandom released a Final Girls Feature! The absolute highlights are:
A Final Girls-inspired playlist with over 100 songs all performed by women and femme-identifying people! From well-known horror soundtracks to bobs giving off that Final Girl "don't mess with me" vibe, the entire playlist itself tells the story of the evolution of a Final Girl: from normal teenager to full-fledged powerhouse seeking to take down the killer by any means necessary (and some close calls with death along the way).
Final Girls: The Trading Cards: a completely unique and newly created Final Girls deck featuring 24 heroines who defied all odds of survival and came out victorious!
Check out this absolute amazing card about Reiko and head over to the blog to find 23 other horror queens!
A dedicated Final Girls Wiki, intended to serve as a home for these amazing women where you can read more about them all in one place. your favorite one has a page!
So head over to the blog and let Mandy and Mike, the two Fandom staff members who are the masterminds behind the trading cards and playlist, know what you think about it all by leaving a comment!
Eyo! I'm Lostris, a Fandom WIki Representatives working with entertainment communities. Per good tradition, Halloween is the time of year to celebrate the dark side of entertainment, and that's exactly why I'm here!
Rather than just me telling people in a horror-themed blog at the end of the month about why celebrating Halloween is fun and watching horror movies is a whole mood, we'd like the users of our horror communities to be the ones to tell others. You're the experts after all!
As such, I would love it if you could share some of your experiences and insights with me, so I could -- with your permission of course -- quote you in the blog. If you don't know where to start, I'd love to hear more about:
Why do you love horror?
Why do you work on horror wikis?
Do you like being scared by horror stories?
Why should anyone give horror stories a try?
What do you like about your/the horror community?
What is your favorite horror movie that you wish everyone would watch?
You don't have to answer all. Any and all opinions you have are fine.
Can't wait to hear back from all of you!
I watched the original film "Ringu" made in 1998 and I'm continuing off "Spiral" and I'm finding it pretty weird. Firstly why tf is Sadako seductive in the movie aint she a minor? And at this point its not even scary since we know how her she looks. She was way scarier with her hair hiding her face, why are they showing her face now? She looks like some horny teenager. Also heard it was made by different director so I'm questioning it being canon
Who can take take that seriously
What are some of the movies which can be interpreted in multiple ways?

The Ring
MY INTERPRATION IS(… I know there are other ones I just don’t remember ’em off the top of my head I’ll add them once I remember)
The one crawling out of the TV could be the “curse” in her, cause the wiki lists entity… (which could have been put in her when the priest raped evalyn leading to Samara being born, maybe due to being near that ocean he passed it on to her due to being a Priest and being her biological father and priest’s have vow of celebacy so they aint allowed to make kids) and then in The Ring Two the Samara that was made of water in the tub scene when she was released from possessing Aidan looked like alive samara EXACTLY AT THE FULLEST DETAIL, and then one in the well looks on like samara in features, but not like a corpse OR froze, looks as if when she was pushed down the well, the entity was released from her once she died in the well.
. . . .
What does everyone think of my interpretation,,, it could work as the interpretation... right?
(obvs The Ring is a waaaay cooler movie than The Bye Bye Man [Based on a true story{The Bridge To Body Island(One of the true stories in Robert Damen Shneck's strange but true tales book, called: The President's Vampire}],,, yes the real name is also not to be said OR EVEN THOUGHT), I know the name, so don't let me type it, I shouldn't doom y'all, I'm a fan of both, movies, interpret things my own weird way, more scared of TBBM now that I know that it technically happened (Even though the real TBBM was just some stupid albino blind little boy who was bullied and killed everyone in his orphanage and school OH BOOHOO wut Samara does is waaaaaay more justified due to her reason. wohhhhhh, so yeah anyways hope everyone's fine, peace!)

I Wonder why did anna Morgan push Samara Morgan in the well. I heard they didn't want a daughter.
