Choi-Yeol is a doctor, the pathologist who autopsied the four teens. Sun-Joo visits Dr. Choi-Yeol, he is shown the cursed video tape, shown a copy. Together, the two begin tracking down the tape's origin and thus the cure to the death curse. They discover that the videotape was made by the psychic called Park Eun-Suh. Sun-Joo and Choi-Yeol visit Eun-Suh's island home and learn that she made a name for herself by predicting a tidal wave. Sun-Joo and Choi-Yeol find Eun-Suh's house, which features an intense painting of her by her half-brother. embark on a journey to break the curse placed upon them.
Sun-Joo and Choi-Yeol return to a holiday resort to find answers. In the crawlspace under the balcony, they discover the old well. Descending into it, they begin to empty the well using buckets, as Sun-Joo's one week deadline passes, leading the pair to believe they have broken the curse.
As Choi-Yeol's deadline approaches, he checked books doing research, he is gripped by a realisation, the realisation on how the curse is actually broken by copying the videotape and showing it to someone else, replicating it like a virus. He found out that he has the copied videotape, he didn't copy and show the video to anyone. His television turns on by itself, showing the well at the end of the tape, and the spectre of Eun-Suh crawls out of the TV, killing Choi-Yeol.
