This wiki is about The Ring book and movie horror series. In 2002, the American version of the psychological horror film was directed by Gore Verbinski and starred Naomi Watts and Martin Henderson. It was a remake of the 1998 Japanese horror film Ringu. Both films are based on Koji Suzuki's novel Ring and focus on a mysterious cursed videotape which contains a seemingly random series of disturbing images.
